This header is a pastel painting I did in 2009 is of a place in the Netherlands, my country of origin, after a photo shot by Dick Witte.

Some of the painters who have influenced me:
Mondriaan, Hopper
O"Keefe, Weyeth
Singer Sargent
van Gogh, Rembrandt
Picasso, Escher

Since this is my second blog page, it generally takes me longer (sometimes very long) to reply to your comments, but I do read and love them!

Zeder,
Yeah, indeed it is! We lived in Zehlendorf, because my husband was in charge of a drug rehab probgram. May I ask in which part of Berlin you live? (If you rather not, it's okay!)
Glad I get to see Berlin now all the time:) through your eyes (lens), Uwe!

Your paintings are very impressive. That's something I wish I could do, I'm always amazed at how someone can take a blank canvas and create something on it, especially when it's interesting like your paintings.

Mahon,
Thank you! Your English is very good!

My artist name is Saint Germain, but haven't come very far in discovering the location in France my family came from - but my citizenship is Dutch, and I live in Los Angeles - could it be more complicated??

Al,
Thank you for your compliment!

What you think of artists, I have that appreciation for photographers - it's so technical! I'm discovering that, now hubby has taken up photography:)

I greatly admire religious art, especially in this day and age when we so little of it. That is a very spiritually uplifting picture.
Thank you!

Yes, I have the tendency to be different even among artists:)
