NOTES
It is said that historically the right part (known as Half Dome)
was connected to the mountain on the left
This pastel I painted a few years ago. It is the most painted mountain
in Yosemite National Park, California.
The pic of this mountain you can see in my travel log I'm doing this week on my main page

A few years before the pastel painting I did this watercolor rendition of Half Dome.
Which one do you like more?A few years before the pastel painting I did this watercolor rendition of Half Dome.

Hmmm. What a difficult question. I think I prefer the watercolour...but, really, I like them both.
Wow..you do these paintings??
Incredible, wonderful. I love the
A MEMORY OF POLAND, the sunflowers.
Cheers.. :)
EG Wow,
Thanks for stopping by and look at the paintings! I know, actually not fair to ask, since they're both a very different style and medium:)
PhotoVigor,
Painting is my passion, but I realize that it's not everybody's cup of teas, so that's why I do both!
It's very interesting, that wherever I come, the men like the sunflowere more than the women!
The watercolour is so...
ethereal.
I would have to choose one, but gosh, they are both lovely!
Hi Jeannette,
Its been a while since I stopped by. I like the watercolor the best. I think because of the mysterious, ethereal feel you have going there. The pastel is very warm and solid. I've been up to Yosemite twice. The first time is was bright and sunny. The second time somewhat obscured by smoke.
the Muse,
that's what I dream of watercolors should be - but unfortunately my brush does not always wants to cooperate with me:)
How are things with you now?
Neetzy,
It's okay, I know you had a few big things going on:) About the watercolor, idem ditto as what I replied to the Muse.
About Half Dome, I rather paint it than hike it, as hubby did four times (a grueling 6 hour climb -not my cup of tea).
Smoke - was that one of the times that there was a fire? or clouds?
wow your fingers are amazing dear speaks behind your beautiful mind, you are so lucky ,i wish i can draw what i see in wide imaginary world which seems extremely real to me some time ,thanks for kind visit and words take care

Baili,
Thank you for the "follow"!
I'm thankful each one of us has been given at least one way to express ourselves -yours is definitely with poetic words!
Doowmee, Thank you Friend! Do you realize that the one on top is a pastel (like chalk)? I first paint a watercolor, and on top I put soft pastels.
Have a great time and see you back soon!
your paintings are gorgeous. just beautiful. I am glad you are enjoying the Sedona photos on my website.
Julie,
Thank you for the "follow"! And today I actually read your profile and saw we have something in common: travel! I am Dutch, and 20+ years ago I came here with hubby and kids to study...and am still here:)
I'll join the chorus and say that I like the watercolor too.
