NOTES
I had this face in mind for weeks,
taking up my whole visual field
now finally I got to paint it:
the face of passion
coming out of nowhere
the expression of fire
to make symbolic images

I just keep coming back for more . I've decided that I need to be a follower on this blog. The art work is just beautiful.
I hope to see your avatar on my site as well, it'll make it easier to revisit you.
covnitkepr1,
Hi- Thank you friend! somehow I have a hard time to email you as well as becoming a follower -maybe because you already have many? Will try again in coming days...
Have a great weekend!
I really, really like that image Jeannette. That speaks to me and I can imagine myself in that sometimes fiery inner depth that usually comes out only in my pen in the deep places of prayer.
Thank you, Jen! I left on your blog a request for your email, because I like to say something personal to you:)
Jeannette, your work is beautiful. Thank you for having stopped by my blog. (Would love to see what you are crocheting as well.) I am taking water color classes, and so much of a novice, probably always will be but I can get very lost in painting. You do inspire, thank you. The serenity is amazing.
I love this painting Jeanette, but I love the flower ones too. It's the colors!
Your work is beautiful. The hair in this one whirls like something in Munch only not death-haunted.
Glor,
Thank you for your kind comments! Watercolor is a difficult medium -I keep up with it by painting landscapes on my yearly vacation.
If you like to look, I posted some crocheted and knitted purses on my main blog (click on right side bar her:Mysteries) and look at the post "From Beginning to En" of 1/29/09
Betsy,
Since you are a musician, you'll understand when I say, that a certain color inspires me, because I can "feel" that it will express a certain mood, or movement:)
In this painting it goes from red- hot to white-hot.
Ted,
Hmmm, you must know more about art than the usual blogger:) You are right -death is far away from me! I wonder if what you see here is the compelling-ness of what you also see in Munch
I left my email for you in a comment on my last post. But will leave it here too - tookietrinkets@gmail.com.
I'd love to hear from you.
Jen
Jen,
Thanks so much!
I really like this piece...
Thank you Cathryn -coming from you it means a lot! Who is Angie?
If you or Angie like a print, let me know:)
Your work is lovely, well done :)

Kathryn,
I'm back to say thanks for the "follow."!
Marinela,
Thanks so much Friend, and also for the follow of this page!
This was done well Blending the colors with the artist crouched over her precious writing.:)
Hello sweet Jeannette, how are you!
First of all please forgive me, I'm late here...I'm following your blog using Google Reader, and I really don't know the reason that it didn't show new posts there, about this blog!
I'm enchanted for your art, it's beautiful! It touchs my heart!
I like a lot the word "passion"I think it moves us to do fantastic things, passion for our work, our life, our goals, people, family, and so on...
Also RED is perfect in this case!
Thanks again for this lovely inspiration!
have a nice Tuesday,
hugs
Léia
I really like your use of red in your paintings (proteus previous). It dominates and excites the senses.
A Lady's Life,
Sorry for getting back to you so late!
Thank you, when it's not a landscape I make a lot of use of this technique: breaking up up light waves (actually van Gogh's technique, but magnified).
Leia,
Don't worry about it, dear friend! It maybe because I keep changing the link gadget -because it sometimes does not "link"!
Some friends around me are as passionate about writing, as I am about painting, and their passion is contagious to me!
California Girl,
Thank you! Yes, one has to be careful with red - it quickly becomes gaudy. I don't think I could ever have painted this red if I had not lived in California (in Europe the colors are always muted and subdued)!
