It has not only been years, but decades since I last did scratchboard, or even hand colored them afterwards.
I see you are experimenting with blog colours; just remember it took 5 months for me to settle on a permanent background to either of my blogs and that only happened this weekend.

I like it. I did scratchboard in high school, but never with colors.

I tried it after I saw some very fine scratchwork from artists. Don't know if I'll continue - it's a lot of work to achieve some nice results!

As I said to Egmont (above you comment) - can't tell yet, whether I'll continue or not - I'm also going to try it on white claybord.
Never a dull moment with art! LOL
So, what are you planning to do this winter, artwise?
If you enjoy using pen and ink, then scratchboard is just an extension of it. On the other hand, if not, well I can understand the frustration. Besides, careful planning works best for scratchboard and not spur of the moment.
